mirron, mirror…

You know we had standards, right up from our fairy tales, and in those standards when asked, the mirror always replies “Of course fairest of them all, you are the most beautiful one” and then it arrived…. the fitness mirror… “Mirror, mirror; am I the most beautiful of them all?” “Fat chance,” replied the said mirror, “looking at your % of fat versus muscle, you skipped the gym again! You lazy ugly duckling. Get your gym bag out and move your *&% over there!”… seriously…

strike by lightning

There is the bike there, upside down, the tools there looking me down, the repair kit, and the bucket (the one that does not have my list on), and me in the middle of the kitchen wondering of the next step. Wow – illumination – more than 20 years cycling and this is the first ever flat tire I have to fix. Surely I have had flat tire before, haven’t I. I thought I was going to be mad crazy having to fix that tire, but the sole realization that this is actually my first flat tire (that I can remember) ever (that I have to fix) I am strike by lightning, in awe and admiration.

comics and common thread

Between Godzilla, king Kong and the princess what is the common thread? You may say they are all staring in movies, they may all be puppet of Walt Disney, they entertain us at times in the evening… still… I don’t know the answers but I would bet I came across the three of them at a meeting and it seems they all wanted me to play the wizard of oz… hum… could that just be another of these things called meeting…

crazy…

I bet you are crazy as well. Stop hiding! We all are, crazy, and it’s crazy not to see it. I wish one day I had been crazy in love, though it would be that much crazy if I was not loved back the same way. That would just open the door to feel crazy hurt, before giving in and becoming crazy with anger. Today it’s much simpler. I am just crazy about that fruit juice, it’s so tasty, that’s the basil in it. It’s like when I use basil oil in my home diffuser, I suddenly become crazy focused. But there is one type of crazy that drives me nuts… that the one that drives me crazy…

out of focus

“Focus in the wrong place” she wrote… How does she know? If the idea was actually to take a step out of convention looking for that other framing and that other focus? Rather than putting the foreground in my focus, I like to focus on the background, the details in the background, the every little pieces we are taking for granted, and more than that I want my focus on what could happen tomorrow, not on the task I have right in front of my eyes, but on the path I could take tomorrow. And this one is not always plain sight in the foreground…. at least it does not seems so for me, and you?
